Landbay Deep Dive

I took the data from Landbay’s statistics page (https://landbay.co.uk/statistics). About half the way down the page they have an option to download the entire loanbook, and anyone can access this, registered member or not. Unfortunately, the loanbook data is given in .pdf format, so you need to use a converter to change this to a .csv or Microsoft Excel .xlsx before you can do any data analysis. I think that I used this free online converter to do it.
The data gives a detailed breakdown of the investments assigned to retail investors, and then a high level overview of those owned by institutional investors. Here is how it looks in Microsoft Excel:
It’s a nice and simple data set, though in future it would useful to have the repayment date of the ‘repaid in full’ loans. You can make a pivot table on this to do your own detailed analysis. Landbay’s ‘Reserve Fund’ (provision fund) of around 0.6%-0.7% is only applied to the retail investor loans and not the institutional investor loans.
