Rebuildingsociety  is a Leeds based P2B (peer-to-business) lending site which has funded around £10 million in loans since launching in late 2012. To borrow, businesses must meet certain requirements on trading history, turnover and credit rating. Here’s the founder talking about peer-to-peer lending recently: Read more “RebuildingSociety Review” →

AblRate Review

Ablrate is a peer lending platform which was founded in July 2014 to specialise in aviation related finance. Since then it’s expanded its remit to provide asset backed loans to a wider range of businesses. It is a relatively small platform with just over £16 million in completed loans, compared to something like Saving Stream with around £250 million or Funding Secure with £87 million. Recent events and uncertainty over the future post-brexit economy have made me re-examine my investment choices and look at the emerging opportunities in P2P/’P2X’ investing. I’m starting this blog with a view to provide hard numbers and experiences for others interested in P2P lending. Read more “An Introduction” →

Growth Street Review P2P Reviews

Growth Street Review

Growth Street provides secured lending facilities to UK businesses to help them with short term cash flow demands. Businesses borrowing through their ‘GrowthLine’ product pay a representative APR of 11% whilst lenders hope to earn 6.4% AER. Growth Street also offers to help businesses through its cash flow management and forecasting tool ‘Business Insights’. For me, Growth Street’s lending product is not quite as easy to get your head around as other platforms. They describe it as ‘a combination of a revolving credit facility (also called an overdraft alternative) and invoice financing’. From a lender’s perspective, loan terms are all 30 days and protected by a provision fund. Read more “Growth Street Review” →
